I didn’t see a reason why VR Troopers or Beetleborgs couldn’t have been given more seasons, seeing as how there was more than enough Metal Hero footage and seasons. They were both amazing, but I preferred Beetleborgs.
Beetleborgs was awesome, with a new awesome story about kids and comics. That was Saban’s brilliant idea. VR Troopers was also original and took footage from three Metal Hero shows, and it worked, but they ran out of footage, so the show had to end. The same fate befell Beetleborgs. Footage used, show ends.
Beetleborgs was more colourful and modern in terms of tokusatsu footage and story. When Beetleborgs got their new powers, it was a game-changer. It was awesome to see a new, sleeker type of show. it went from great to awesome. The villains and characters made it work.
I was bummed to see it end, but the Mega Spectra Beetleborgs theme was crap. It belittled the quality and realistic vibe. It was overdoing things, and I hated that.
For VR Troopers, Ryan Steel’s powers upgrade was the only costume change, but it worked, and fans loved it. Both have a great legacy, even though they were short-lived.
