Ninja Steel was not a good season of Power Rangers. It flopped big time, and adding a Bulk and Skull comedic duo didn’t help either. It was just flat and dry and without substance. The rangers got Ninja powers in season one and then upgrades in season two.
The characters never caught fire, and the villains never gelled and were forgettable. They tried with it, but they could have made it work if it had a better story, even though the story was better than the Sentai version.
