I enjoyed Power Rangers in Space. It’s the best season of the franchise, and most fans will back me on this. It had everything a science fiction fan wanted: flying spaceboards, space ships, a cool interior, Power Rangers and space zords capable of traveling to other planets, and a great story.
The Silver Ranger’s introduction was awesome. He came out of nowhere. I remember being in grades nine and ten and having my friends over to watch it. We were thoroughly entertained for the weekend, and I took study breaks to watch it on my VCR. Awesome times!
It had bad episodes, too, but the whole overarching storyline was great. The worst part of the show was the usage of Maligore’s costume from the Turbo movie as Dark Soectre. They could have come up with something original.
That was an epic failure, and it could have been avoided, but they wanted something scary and powerful-looking, so they did what they did. But the zords were awesome, and although I didn’t like their identities being exposed, it set the stage for a great finale, and unlike Megaranger, the people loved and embraced them.
